Common Questions

Frequently Asked
Questions

What is the eligibility for the DAT programme? +
Any student who has passed HSSC (12th standard) from any stream โ€” Science, Commerce, or Arts โ€” is eligible for the DAT programme. No NEET or entrance examination is required.
Is the DAT diploma government-recognised? +
Yes. The DAT diploma is fully recognised by the Maharashtra Acupuncture Council, which was constituted under the Maharashtra Acupuncture Act 2017 by the Government of Maharashtra. Graduates are eligible to register as practising acupuncture therapists.
How long is the DAT course and what does it cover? +
The DAT is a two-year full-time diploma programme. It covers meridian theory, acupuncture point location, needling techniques, clinical management of 50+ conditions, pain management, and includes hospital-based clinical training.
Can doctors enrol in the acupuncture programme? +
Absolutely. We offer a specialised advanced module for MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, and BDS doctors who wish to add acupuncture pain management to their practice. This is a shorter, intensive programme designed around the schedules of working physicians.
What career opportunities are available after the DAT? +
Graduates can open their own acupuncture clinic, work in hospitals or wellness centres, collaborate with allopathic doctors, or practice independently. The Maharashtra Council registration qualifies you to legally practice in the state.
When do admissions open? +
